Owning Waterfront Property is like LIVING on Vacation
I live on the Cape Haze Peninsula in Gulf Cove on the Myakka River
I got home this evening and cooked up some shrimp for dinner and Bruce says, "what do you have planned"?. My reply is, "Nothing. Why?".
He says "want to go out on the boat?" We made a few drinks and in Less than 15 minutes later we are in the boat and headed out. Just two minutes down the canal and we are out on the Myakka headed toward Charlotte Harbor.
It is so nice to have a boat ready to go in the back yard. When he bought this home it already had the seawall, dock, and boat lift. His dream was to retire and own waterfront property and have an in ground pool in the backyard plus a few other toys.
He couldn't find a home on the water for the price he wanted with a pool so he had the pool installed. Superior pool came out in December and we were in our pool in March. Such a professional crew and a job well done. They worked on something most every day. Different crews for different jobs. It was amazing to see it progress each day so quickly.
Now we are living on vacation. We can relax by the pool when we want, get in the boat when we want, go watch the sunset at the beach (just 20 min away) 4-5 nights a week and feel the ocean breeze. We watch the dolphins, manatees, pelicans, egrets, aninghas, etc.
Living on the gulf coast of Florida is really a great lifestyle to have. I am not retired yet like him but I am so grateful to be living on vacation and helping others obtain there dream home as well.
I love my job and my life.
